1 - Landschaft and the Emam Garden

April 30th, 2060.

On the eastern side of Londrina¹, between the city's coach station and Buena Vista's industrial park, the Landschaft Agency built their own designed neighborhood. The architect named it Emam Garden, the kaingang² equivalent for garden of the good weather.

In respect to multiculturalism, the local construction industry had the habit to celebrate the native language. It pleased both their clients and the media, even though their gesture weren't honest. After all, appearances were important to keep their business relationships.

The Emam Garden had two public open spaces and four miles of bicycle lanes, each equipped with Wi-Fi hotspots and surveillance cameras. Under the 64° F of that balmy morning, the elderly were exercising in the public gym, leaving the bicycle lanes just for the younger.

Extending through the blocks, you could see the solar tiled surface of the Niemeyer Street, a commercial road dedicated to juridic, financial and real estate services. The sidewalk was paved with red detectable warnings, with concrete curbed ramps inclining at the corners.

Right there, raised between a lawyer's office and a financial institution, was the Landschaft Agency's headquarters. It was a three-floor edifice, built with horizontal sliding windows, double entry doors and electronic knob locks.

At the side of the entry doors, attached to the sidewalk, a bicycle station was installed. It was made of red aluminum and had place for six cycles.

Crouched over one of the docks, locking her bike to a vacant rack, was Caroline Godoy de Vilanova, a Landschaft's employee.
